Info About new 2k12 league

so guys, I finally found a league to join in the 2k universe. As of right now if has about 15 open spots and begins on the 31st of July. If any of you guys wanna join just shoot me a message or comment and I will send you the info. It's 29 games, Hall of Fame difficulty fantasy draft with simulation on. So that means it's possible for key players to get hurt and fatigued, so it brings an element of strategy into the game that isn't normally found when playing on arcade mode. Well guys, i'll try to update more frequently, i've been busy with moving into my new apt and getting ready for the next semester so bear with me. Talk to you guys later

UMVC3 X-Factor boosts

X-factor is one of the most interesting game mechanics i've ever seen implemented in a fighting game in all my years of playing them. That being said, it's kind of  a double edged sword. You can play the perfect game only to have your opponent use a character such as x-factor level 3 vergil or wesker and come back and steal it from you. Some characters have a significant advantage in this mode and the point of this post is to highlight the certain boosts that each character get in this mode.

UMVC3 Tier List (my opinion)

Ok, so in my next post on this blog, I though it would be cool to get back on track with some Marvel and add my tier list. Now don't let a tier list tell you who to use and who not to use. It's just a speculation of what characters have the most tools and advantages available to them, that being said, there have been many a tournamants that i've been to that a low-tier team completely destroyed a high tier team. So without further adieu, I presnt my Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 tier list.

D Tier: Hsien-KO, Pheonix Wright, Iron Man, Shuma, Tron, Ghost Rider,

C Tier: Thor, Nemesis, Iron Fist, She-Hulk, Deadpool, Spiderman, Chun li, Arthur

B Tier: Ryu, Captain America, Chris Redfield, Storm, X-23, Sentinel, Trish, Jill, Rocket Racoon, Haggar, Viewtiful Joe, Doctor Strange, Frank West, MODOK, Fire Brand, Hawkeye, Felicia

A Tier: Nova, Akuma, Task Master, Skrull, Strider, Ammy, Hulk, Dorm., Wolverine

S Tier: Morrigan, Wesker, Dante, Doom, Magneto,

Why are you in this game tier: C.Viper, Vergil, Spencer, *Zero*, Pheonix

Random NBA 2k Post

I've recently left my last online league because it was full of leavers and everyone kept vetoing every trade proposed, so If anyone no of any free or open NBA 2k 12 leagues that are active then leave me a commet or shoot me an email. I don't mind a fantasy draft or regular teams. As long as people are active and it's not more than one or two seasons in.

Anchor Character (UMVC3)

The final component of your team in Ultimate Marvel is the anchor. This is also a very important component because it isn't unheard of for an anchor to defeat an entire team on their own with x-factor level three. The term anchor comes from the fact that the anchor character is the last character that's on your team and holds down the rest of your characters (just as a ship anchor does). Depending on your playstyle, there are multiple anchors that you can use. Some of the best are of course ammy, wesker, vergil, pheonix, taskmaster, hawkeye and spencer. If you haven't noticed by now, a lot of characters are interchangable into different roles, in fact some characters are able to be used simountaniously at the same time in different roles. That being said, I will update this blog with the advantages each character recieves from each level of x-factor, a tier-list and a guide that goes over alot of terminology used in almost every fighting game for you beginners.

Battery Character (UMVC3)

The point of a battery character is to build meter for your team/anchor as well provide an assist that is good for your team. This can either be an assist that helps your character get in (taskmaster's arrows) or one that otg's and allows for the continuation of combos (Weskers gun shot). Also, a good battery should be able to do a significant amount of damage without using alot of meter. In fact, they should actually gain meter, hence the term battery (charging your super bar like a battery would). Some good batteries are wesker, taskmaster, spencer,c.viper, zero and dante, jus to name a few. Furthermore, you can place your battery as your point character and vice versa, it just all depends on your team composition.

Point Character (UMVC3)

Ok, so the first and arguably most important character on your team is the point character. As mention in my previous post, this is the character that will be going first on your team. Now depending on your team compositon ( rush down or zoning) you may want to pick a certain point character. If you're planning on creating a rush down oriented team, I suggest you pick a character such as wolvering, magneto, spencer,c.viper or hulk. However, if you're going for a zoning or projectile type team, I suggest starting out with a character such as morrigan, dormmamu, trish or storm (though she can be utilized as a rushdown as well).

Marvel Team Composition

Ok, so in my next update to my blog, I will be talking about how to build an effective team in ultimate marvel vs capcom three. First of all, a team can be divided into three different parts. A point character (goes first), battery (gains meter/second), anchor (goes last and utilizes x-factor level three the best). Some good point characters are wolvering, spencer, wesker, captain america and dante. however, this isn't set in stone and some unorthodoxed players can make different things work. While considering your battery or anchor, it's also good to consider a character that has a good assist. Dr.Doom, Ammy, Hawk eye, taskmaster, magneto and vergil are excellent batteries/ anchors. For instance, the teams I primarily use are wesker/vergil/hawkeye and wolverine/wesker/doom. And doom missles are the BEST ASSIST IN THE GAME. thanks guys, i'll be sure to update soon. In my next 3 updates, I will be going more in depth into each component of a team and giving examples.

evo 2k12

Well, Evo 2k12 ended not too long ago and I just wanted to say that it was probably on of the best showings i've ever seen in all my years as part of the fighting game community. Players from all over the world came to compete in multiple games, but the games whos players impressed me the most were UMVC3, SC5, KOF13 and SSF4:Arcade edition. Over the course of 3 days, one of the best displays of skill and new game technology was demonstraded in Las Vegas. I can't post videos for obvious copyright reasons, but if you want to seriously level up your game, I suggest looking up a few of these players. Also, in the feature I will be writing guides for characters, if you have a character you need tips/help with, leave a comment and I will make a guide for said character.

UMVC: Filipino Champ, IFC Yipes, Zak Bennet, Shady K, Marlin Pie, BT Clockwork ,Justin Wong

SSF4 : Justin wong, Tokido, Infiltration, Daigo, Gamerbee, Dieminion, Ricky Ortiz

SC5: Something Unique, Ruka, Shen Chan, Whoazz, Shining Decopon, Kamaage

KOF13: MadKOF, Bala, Guts, SA Reynald, CafeID Verna, Romance

NBA 2k12 tips vol. 1

Hey guys, I've been playing a lot of 2k12 lately and thought that it would be nice to share a few hints. I'm by no means a savant, but my record is above average (150-43), so anyway, here are a few hints for nba 2k12 online ranked matches. First of all, all ranked matches are played on the allstar difficulty, so if you really want to better your game, I suggest you play against the computer on Hall of Fame and change the game mode to simulation. This will not only help you increase the level of your defensive efforts, but will also help with your scoring because the computer can predict your everyt move and it becomes increasingly hard to score as the game progresses. Secondly, you should go to options, controller settings and put the a.i. defensive assistance up to 100 before every game. Not only will this make the computer on your team play better defense, but it will also make it easier for you to keep up with the opponent as you play defense. Finally, to end my first installment of hints for 2k12, I would suggest that you go to nba 2k12 bootcamp and learn the moves. I know this sounds cliche, but you'd be surprised of the number of messages I get asking me how to euro step or do a step back jumper. Bootcamp is clearly on of the most under-utilized resources in the 2k12 universe. Well that's it for today, i'll be back tomorrow (or later today) with more. thanks, and to all my readers, peace, too, you.
